Tip of the Week

 

Situation:

I want the patient's cellular phone number to appear on their appointment, rather than the home phone number that usually appears.

 

Solution:

When you are creating the appointment (i.e. - you are in the Appointment window, under the Detail tab), click the drop-down menu in the Contact area of the window (the menu currently indicates Home), selecting Cellular Phone.

 

Additional Info

The Home phone number (if it exists) is always the default phone number when creating a new appointment for an existing patient.

 

The desired phone number must be set up in the patient's Personal Info if you want to select it from within an appointment.

 

Use the Alternate field of the Appointment window to add a second phone number to the appointment. Type the desired phone number in this field.

 

The phone number(s) that appear(s) in the Appointment and Schedule windows also appear(s) in the Confirm Appointments window.
