Data Exchange Tip

Situation

I want to shut down my DAISY computer(s) tonight. Data Exchange normally transmits claim files overnight. If I shut my computers down, how will my claim files get transmitted to DAISY?

Solution

Manually transmit your files to DAISY before shutting the computers down for the day.

1.  Run Daily Closing.

2.  Launch Data Exchange by clicking Closing > Data Exchange (DAISY 2.4), or by clicking DAISY > Closing > Data Exchange from the menu bar (DAISY 3.0 and higher).

Additional Info

The speed of your internet connection will determine how long the system takes to transmit files from your Outbox. High speed connections (cable, DSL) often transmit files in a matter of seconds. Dial-up connections are slower and may take longer.

Once Data Exchange has transmitted your files, you can shut down your computer(s).
