Tip of the Week

Move a patient from an existing account to a new account.

 

Remove patient from existing account

1.   Open the existing account.

2.   Select the Patients tab.

3.   Select the desired patient to move.

4.   Click the minus (-) button.

5.   Click Yes in the Confirm window.

6.   Close the Account window.

 

Create new account for patient

1.   From the DAISY menu, select Account > Account.

2.   Click the New Account button in the lower left corner of the Search For – Account window.

3,   Type the desired person's name (i.e. – the patient that was removed from the existing account) in the Search For – Guarantor for the New Account window.

4.   Select the desired person from the search results and click OK.

5.   Close the resulting Personal Info. window.

6.   Save changes to the new account.

 

This person is now the guarantor and patient on his/her own account.

 

Note:

Account balance and account history do not transfer to the new account, but the patient's insurance coverage does.
